Good morning Zoo and happy Green Day Friday!! Send us your best Green Day Friday photos on any of our social media platforms!!! We may just repost it! We will also use it here on our website and might use it in a future zoo promotion! The #GreenDayFriday photo challenge is open to any zoo supporter, meaning that you do not need to be a current student! Alumni, faculty and others are welcome! Be sure to #RepBing and wear green! If we catch you on campus sporting your Pantone 342, you may win some free stuff!
In the meantime, check out this highlight of last week’s Green Day Friday of Baxter getting his moves on:
The Men’s Soccer team faces Army (1-1-1) at 7 PM tonight at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The men’s team comes off a split at the Duquesne Invitational that saw them defeated 3-2 by Duquesne on Friday and then victorious in a 2-0 shutout vs. Niagara on Sunday. The split keeps the Bearcats at an even record of 2-2-0 on the season.
-Sophomore forward Alex Varkatzas scored twice over the weekend and was named to the Duquesne Invitational all-tournament team. Currently, Varkatzas leads the team with four points thus far.
-Binghamton has accrued six goals in a matter of four games with four of their goals coming in the second half. Look for these trends to continue tonight for the offensively minded Bearcats.
-Attempting to stop the Bearcats will be Army goalkeeper Winston Boldt, who is coming off of two straight shutouts and was named the Patriot League’s Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday.
-Binghamton has only faced Army once before: back in 2012 when they defeated the Black Knights 2-1 in West Point.
Hey fans, TRADITION CONTINUES!!! We’ve been mentioned in an article in Pipe Dream about our meet and greet with the women’s soccer team! Go check it out HERE.
Please join us THIS WEDNESDAY as we cheer on the men’s soccer team at the Bearcats Sports Complex as they face Army on Military Personnel Night. The game starts at 7 PM.
As for the women’s soccer team,
Thanks for a great meet and greet. It was great to get to know all of you. We are also very excited that the team has won three games in a row and and are counting the days to your return to the Bearcats Sports Complex on September 21, when you take on Cornell. Go Bearcats!
